Musashi was a very famous samurai in his time. He lived isolated from society, surviving and training in the wild, living as an outlaw, but he became the best swordsman, defeating the best masters of his time. He possessed great wit and great ability, and in the last years of his life he wrote "The Book of Five Rings", a kind of manual for samurai.
I was inspired by the real character to draw my own version of him.
The drawing is completely done in photoshop. First I used my old tablet to draw the main lines, then I refined them and added color and shading, in a very different style than anything I had done before.
I didn't draw blood anywhere out of respect for those who don't like to see it, even if it's drawn.
