Alright so I have to make a quick disclaimer that this is in no way fanfiction, I also have to make a disclaimer saying that the mod will never come out as I have no chance at recreating the art style of the game, and also, I have no coding skills so... yeah... :/

Oh, and also HEAVY spoiler alert. If you don't wanna see it, I have spoiler bars for it! :D

So basically, if you need info on what DDLCTNG is, DDLC the new guy is a mod concept I had for a mod for the 2017 indie smash hit, Doki-Doki Literature Club!

The basic concept I had for it was "What if we went into another simulation and saw a different outcome of the story?"

The story is slightly different, the characters are slightly different, and the concept is too.

Another concept I had for this story was "What if Monika hated you instead of being such a crazed murderer for you?"

Instead of changing the cast's sliders to make them go over the edge and themselves, she instead uses these sliders to bring the worst out of the cast and essentially torture you until she can find a way to delete your character file.

If you haven't read the original post, let me give you the TLDR on how the characters and story are different.

• The player is the most changed out of them all. The player is younger than the rest of the cast, shorter than Natsuki (by like an inch) making them the shortest member of the cast, and he is ridden with social anxiety. All of these were used to make a sense of isolation and difference between the other members.

• Sayori is still the bright and bubbly member she was originally, except now the relationship between the MC and her is more of a little brother-big sister relationship, rather than a best friends-potentially lovers' relationship.

• Natsuki is more of a bully, she doesn't want all that much to do with you. She does open up, but it takes a lot more than just talking with her to do it.

• Yuri finds you adorable and will often playfully tease you for being so short, going as far as to lift you and treat you like a doll.

• And Monika is relatively the same. Except for how she does have certain moments when she gets mad at you, but in a sort of "pressure-building way" and not an "exploding in anger way."

Day five:

After the incredibly weird day that was day four, the MC goes on the sidewalk to walk to the club. And who's there to greet you? It's...... Natsuki? Why would she be there? It's always Sayori who shows up.

Natsuki explained that she was really grateful for having you understand her and just talked with her yesterday. Just as you're about to respond, you hear a familiar voice yell your name "MCCCCCCCCCCCCC!!!!!!!!!!!"

Before you can even process what's about to happen, Sayori ends up tackling you out of excitement. You end up tumbling due to the tackle. She quickly picks you up and dusts you off after the tackle, she is extremely sorry for doing that out of nowhere.

Meanwhile, Natsuki is just on the sidelines calling her an idiot. But she's Sayori, she can totally take criticism and be completely fine.

The day continues as normal. Monika decides to make a small celebration for you joining the club five days ago. The celebration ends Act I, and we end up in Act II.

Day six (Act II beginning):

We walk into the club; everything is going really well. We walk in and notice something really weird... to say the least. We notice that Yuri, the shy and quiet girl of the club, is sitting in a corner reading a book. Upon closer inspection, she seems to be making weird sounds of content while stroking the book.

It sounds like she's really enjoying the book, judging by the noises she's making.

We decide to walk closer and sit down next to her, the second she notices us, she quickly shuts the book and pulls it close to her chest. It seems like she really doesn't want anyone to know what she's doing.

She doesn't have her calm and closed-off demeanor anymore, she instead has a much more nervous and jittery one.

After some stuttering, trying to get you to move away. She gets up and quickly walks towards another part of the room. We attempt to see what she's reading two more times, but she keeps getting more nervous and annoyed.

Eventually, the day ended, and we ended up going home, not getting a clear answer on what she was stroking.

Day seven:

Wake up, walk, go to the club, get ready for it to start. Just like we've been doing for the past week at this point.

We end up going to the room and we find Yuri, still doing the same thing as yesterday.

But because we're young and really annoying, we decide to rip the book away from her. As we grab it, we notice the page is of a horror novel with a large knife painted on the page. The second we do this, she ends up grabbing the book back from us.

She gets extremely angry before looking around the club to see if anyone else is there. Just as we least expect it, she grabs us from under our arms and holds us up to her face.

She starts going on and on about how it isn't normal to rip things away from people, and also how we seemed really weird and creepy when we did it.

We try to pry ourselves free after she decides to tighten her grip on our arms, we try to poke her arms in order to free us. But nothing seems to work.

But suddenly, she yelps out in pain as we touch a very specific part of her arm. She still seems extremely angry at us, she looks like she might just kill us if we say anything else.

But who's there right in the Knick of Time to protect us?

Of course, our FAVORITE member of the club, Monika!

She quickly scolds Yuri for getting angry at us and lets us hug her for comfort.
