I was stumped working on fixing collisions, so I was doing research on a couple of different websites and Bing's Copilot result looked interesting (I have no idea where it got this solution from) it turned out to be what I needed. I really need some more schooling as the math looks super simple for calculating the overlap. I know people hate AI and trust me I do to. It hardly ever does anything useful but as I was trying to get the collisions working with ellipse it showed sampling edge of the ellipse and of course I didn't think of that. So, I did what any "normal" person would do and implement point sampling for all circle object (uses the canvas ellipse function to draw) so I can pass it into my circle vs polygon collision method. I also implemented a sort of "lod" system for it. This I feel might be inefficient but it's funny and it works better than whatever I could find online and whatever the mostly useless AI could spit out. I of course made a simpler "cheaper" method for circle vs circle but it's nice to have something more robust. Also, I know it's taboo to use AI to code. I don't use it to make things for me. (as if it could write something that works first try anyway lmao) I mostly use it after I can't find what I'm looking for online. It's surprisingly good at understanding what I'm looking for. Anyway, both methods are implemented, and the bug fixes will be out soon.
