V Explanation / Context / Details in Article V

MOVEMENT

you can hold SHIFT to sprint, which makes the movement a whole lot less accurate, and makes movement feel more "floaty" as the player takes longer to switch directions in mid air whilst sprinting.

you can press up (W) whilst on ground or in mid-air to do an updash! it makes you fly up into the sky a little...

you can also double jump before that, giving you a HUGE boost in height!

now, you can press down (S) whilst in mid-air to stomp, which makes you fly down at Incredible speeds, also destroying any destroyable brick in the way, if it hits one with an item, it makes all of the Items spill out the bottom Instead.

BRICKS

ok so first of all, when you hit a brick from the bottom and it's destructible, the particles fly upward, on the otherhand if you STOMP on it from the top, the particles fly downward.

same if it has contains (items inside), hitting it from below makes the items drop out the top individually on each hit

however, hitting it from ABOVE makes all of the Items spill out at once (which is really satisfying imo)

boxes can have what I call an "end item", which is the item at the end of the main item and its quanity.

if the end item is a coin, it's doubled in size and gives 2 coins Instead of only one.

ENEMY

If you're within the enemy's range, it rapidly dashes toward you until its in close range; to engage combat. when the enemy (snak) does, he flings his tail at you, hitting you for some damage (forgot the exact stats).

you CAN dodge it by jumping, I will also add a parry sometime that stuns enemies but has a cooldown.

upon jumping on an enemy, there are 3 outcomes.

if you press left click TOO EARLY (not shown in the video) a brown damage bubble will pop up, letting you know that you tapped to early, and dealing .5 times the amount of damage.

If you press perfectly, a green damage bubble will pop up, letting you know that you tapped at the perfect time. and tealing 1.5 times the amount of damage.

If you don't press at all, an orange damage bubble will pop up, letting you know that you failed the Input. but not to worry! this doesn't take any damage away, but doesn't add any either.

It's kind of a risk for reward Situation.

Dialogue / NPC Interactions

my sloppily coded dialogue system allows me to stop the text at any time for any amount, change its speed to anything at any time, have 2 images (one for the left, one for the right) and different animations for them, all animations stop once the line is over / if there's a stop in the dialogue.

the animation speed does NOT change cuz Idk how I'd even consistently do that.

I CAN use bbcode (that's how I was able to do the rainbow text)

I had to write the rainbow text bbcode myself btw cuz godot's inbuilt rainbow bbcode effect is TERRIBLE.

It's simple, feel free to steal.
