For example, one thing that jumps out at me is how they present dialogue in BG3 vs DOS2:
When you talk to a character in Baldur's Gate 3, the camera shifts to a more cinematic angle that's closer to eye level. It also cinematically cuts between all of the people talking. This really helps reduce the distance the player feels from the characters in these key plot moments.
By contrast, in Divinity 2 the camera remains more distant from the characters even in dialogue. It works perfectly well, but after having played BG3 I can't help but feel a bit more removed from these characters. I'm curious to see how that will change as I put more hours into the game.
Another adjustment point (that's been fun) is having to get my head around Larian's original combat system as opposed to D&D's system (which I already knew from tabletop D&D before I booted up Baldur's Gate 3 for the first time.)
