Since I still didn’t talk about my new project that I’m making, and I want you guys’ opinion... So it’s a 2D pixel horror game, named EGRESS.
STORY (not the final one, still might tweak some things):
It’s about a man who gets traumatized after losing his wife and daughter. One day, he wakes up in a strange, unnatural place, cold, unfamiliar, and deeply uncomfortable. He has no idea how he got there. Every time he tries to leave, opening the EXIT door, he ends up right back where he started. He slowly realizes he’s stuck in a looping place. As he searches for a way out, he starts being haunted... not by monsters, but by his own trauma, memories, and guilt, and maybe they don’t want him to leave.
GAMEPLAY:
EGRESS is a story-driven horror game. You explore looping environments that subtly change with every return. You’ll solve small puzzles, uncover some memories, and witness events tied to his past. There’s no combat; it’s about tension, atmosphere, and emotional weight.
I’m planning to make it short and focused. Maybe around 20 to 25 mins (or probably less XD)
I still have no freaking god damn idea how to do that, but I’m pretty sure I can make something good.
Anyway... let me know your thoughts about all of this, suggestions, feedback, or anything that could help ^^
