I've never seen this kind of sky for myself. I hope someday, I might be able to.
My long-distance vision kinda sucks, so even if I did, I probably couldn't see it super clearly. But sometimes, if the stars are out, I can't seem to look away.
There's just something so... captivating about a starry sky. Something so innately beautiful. Something magical, enchanting.
It becomes even more poetic when you realize that we're made of stardust, that we've spent thousands of years staring at the origin of our existence... in awe of it's beauty.
I tried to capture the feelings I get from staring at the stars, and married it with pictures of starry skies I've seen. I definitely pulled it off for myself, and I hope it hits for you too.
We're very small, you know. As a galaxy, a solar system, a planet, a species. A person.
Sometimes we feel weak, and powerless. That's not exactly untrue. There are times when everything feels so huge and overwhelming. It can be that.
But I think, when we look up at the vastness of the cosmos, and it's beauty, we're reminded that doesn't have to be purely a bad thing. That there's some value in accepting that our place is simply here, in this galaxy, this solar system, standing here on earth, with the people we live alongside, struggling along in our own tiny lives. It doesn't have to be great, to be good.
And yet we always seek for something more, don't we? That's not entirely a bad thing either.
We want to change the world. Even if, realistically, we... really can't heh.
But you don't have to change the world, to change another persons world. We affect those tiny things called human lives every day, and often more than we know.
And I think, just as much as the stars, that can be a very beautiful thing.
Go out there and do it then. That beauty is too precious to waste.
And I hope, that I was and am able to do that a little bit for you. ^.^
