in "damn daniel" meme or whatever the f it is lmao
 it is lmao
Uh, ignore that
Anyways the assignment was to apply things we've been learning like the rule of thirds, leading the eye throughout an image, how lighting and character movement affects that, and also I tried applying a technique where you focus on the motion of the character and try to convey the form and action of a person with just a few dynamic lines. I forget what it's called, but if you know, you know, and you can see that (which was the basis for the drawing) in the second image.
Also, obviously, the image tells a story, establishes character emotions (and personality) and has some thematic/symbolic color stuff going on.
It's also something completely brand new, not inspired by any actions I've drawn before for these characters (except for Emmas pose being something she's done before ofc, but I don't think that counts).
I'm very happy with the layout of the scene, and how the eye is drawn throughout the image, but please, lemme know where your eyes go when you look at this art. I'd really like to hear your thoughts and feedback ^.^
Also, if I decide I hate myself (or am just feeling really good) tomorrow I might force myself to upload something GUIDANCE related.
MAYBE.
I have that old combat prototype side-story thingy I was working on a while back, and while I don't intend to ever finish it (since I'd rather keep making the actual game), I could try finding it and packaging it up so you guys can play what I DID make.
It's Halloween themed too, so it'd be the perfect time for it, and I'm in a GUIDANCE mood lately. If I wasn't so busy with school I'd prob be picking up development again, but alas, GUIDANCE will have to wait. I'm sure it's used to doing that by now XD
