A very simple progression of what Techa does to any weapons to make them feel more normal to him:
The first is unaffected, standard revolver chambered in .44 Henry, nothing changed.
The second is partially affected, while it still fires normally, the mutations cause the rounds to rupture on impact which creates a bit of area damage, at the cost of how fast they fly out.
The third is so far gone it doesn't even resemble the old gun anymore. The bullets have been morphed into a spore sac that, when fired, will fire out sharp cartilage fragments that splits into a caustic substance on impact. An acid launcher if you will.
