no progress has been made π₯
so yea, that's basically it... since like 3 weeks ago I've completely dropped all side projects so i could focus on my final exam (the BAC) witch requires multiple months of preparation.
i completely stopped interacting with any communities or online friends since the start of ramadan so if I've ghosted any of you lads then I'm sorry but this is only the beginning, I'm not coming back until the 7th of June witch is about 2 months and a half away from now. however if there's any emergencies you can still contact me here π₯
...
now back to tha games π₯π₯π₯
DigitalTale
the game is basically at 0% completion, however compared to my other projects this one probably won't take as long as one would think. I've been struggling a lot with the direction i wanted to take with this game, at first i wanted to have a funny adventure just for a quick laugh and i still plan on doing that! however i do wanna add a touch of character complexity witch is kinda what tadc is known for in the first place.
all that to say, i think the game will have kind of a focus on 1 specific character as if the game was just another episode of the series. idk witch one, maybe caine? not sure, but this is kind of the idea i wanna go with concerning this project.
if everything goes well, the game should be out this summer π₯
GigasasV2
this game is massive, not the biggest of the 3 but still a pretty extensive project...
it's going to be the most "undertale like" fan game I've made, not in terms of graphics or mechanics or anything like that. but in terms of humor and general tone of the game.
i realized i haven't really talked about gigasasV2 much, and i kinda wanna keep it that way. so all I'm gonna say is that the entire game is basically just the human barely surviving constant assault all throughout the underground, as in i could replace half the music in game with the sponge bob chasing theme and it'd probably fit right in.
Dusttale don't forget
by far the biggest project out of the 3, so much so that I've considered spinning it off into its own original game. (not doing it tho)
the world building in this one is actually insane, so much so that (if the game turns out good) i genuinely believe it'll have its own sub community kinda like what undertale yellow has even if not as massive.
the concept i have for the void is basically a place that never forgets, throughout all time lines the void keeps just enough fragments for its inhabitants to experience what's already been experienced.
i do have some fears tho, 1 of them being the obvious lack of "undertale" in this undertale fan game, the game is massive and only like 0.1% of it is gonna be the good old undertale game play we all love, the rest is a mix of hollowknight, blasphemous, nine sols and silksong. basically what I'm saying is I'm afraid I'm making a pizza for the taco club.
another thing I'm afraid of is the game play, I'm used to extremely difficult games like the ones i mentioned above, so i find myself upping the difficulty of this game without even realizing it sometimes. witch is fine, unless my targeted audience isn't used to playing difficult metroidvania's witch is exactly my current situation rn. it's gonna be hard to get it perfect but with enough game testing it should be ok π₯
DigitalTale should come out first, the demo of Dusttale don't forget after that, and then maybe some other projects along the way before finally finishing up my career in this community with gigasas V2 π₯
so ye, see yall in about 90 days, by ππ₯
