Went to a powwow today, which means I got basically nothing else done. But I did fix that oddly specific bug and make the option button a teeny bit more interesting 
Just need to fix Lucy's vest (tomorrow) and then on to the demo!
Battle State Machine is working 
Player chooses what to do, enemies choose what to do, and they even have variable rates of attack/defend/flee. Next step will be to actually start dealing damage

They're only supposed to be the size of a mini-yux 
But doesn't he look so much more prepared for adventure? 
And yes, she is carrying a deer foot staff, modeled after one hanging in our house

With exception of some minor odds and ends, the home interior sheet is finished, which means I can start on all the levels. The next house (level 9) is an old farmhouse, the kind that had a bazillion rooms
