As you’ve noticed, I’ve since completely reworked the engine and storyline of Rainbow Reveries. I’ve been away for a while, and hadn’t worked on anything in a few months, but I came back and immediately started working on the new and improved Rainbow Reveries.
I’ve gotten a lot of things done so far. Right now, I’ve changed the game from having only one playable character to having five that you can switch back and forth between. For all intents and purposes, this is a feature that will remain. If it doesn’t, I’ll most likely give the player the ability to choose only one of the five characters. Each one will have unique traits and skills. As of now, with the ability to switch between characters, this could allow for some very interesting things. For instance, each character could have a certain “ability” unique to that character (such as Sir Aygus being able to break down doors or something). Also, it opens up the possibility of creating intricate puzzles requiring coordination between multiple characters.
A lot of the graphics have been done, and very little updating will be required for them. Also, most of the music has already been acquired, but has yet to be completely implimented.
For more information and smaller updates on the progress of the game, be sure to visit my deviantART page (http://microfrog.deviantart.com/). Favorite it if you want. I’ll be posting tidbits of information as time progresses (including screenshots and sprite sheets(, while major developments will be posted here.
Until next time…
