This is the land of Mistlight in the wonderous world of Telluria. The largest and most populated land in the world, Mistlight is ruled by King Josephus III, who is a fair but just king.
Mistlight was also the stage for an incredible event that almost ended in catastrophy: The coming of the Nightdrakin from millions of years into outer space to destroy the armies of the world and enslave the people of Telluria.
Nightdrakin was far too powerful for any size army. Hope was almost lost, until five great heros banded together and combined their elemental power. They were the Rainbow Warriors. They were the Holy Knight Grand Master Lord Fide, the Fire Sorceress Grand Mistress Scriptera, the Arctic Witch Grand Mistress Gratoria, the Forest Ranger Grand Master Aepyceros, and the Thunder Warrior Grand Master Arkus Maximus.
After fighting Nightdrakin head-to-head, the soon found themselves in a stalement. In a last ditch effort to meld their elements together, they used much of their energy to create the Edge Of Many Colors, one of the most powerful weapons ever. Wielding the blade, and with the help of the other four, Lord Fide defeated the Nightdrakin. But the "rainbow dragon" could not be killed. Instead, as it was weakened, the Rainbow Warriors cast him in powerful chains and threw him into the "Black Sea", an different dimension of absolute nothingness.
There the Nightdrakin has been. That is, until...
The chains they thought were unbreakable, after hundreds of years of working on breaking them, the Nightdrakin finally released himself from bondage and returned to Telluria. Instead of directly attacking them, the Nightdrakin had a new strategy: He would take the form of a human and bring about an evil corruption that would turn living things into terrible monsters. His plan was that his corrupting power would slowly weaken the defenses of Mistlight, and thus he would have no difficulty in taking over the land. From Mistlight, he would take over the other lands of Telluria.
But there was one thing he didn't take into account: The Edge Of Many Colors.
After defeating the Nightdrakin, the Rainbow Warriors broke up the Edge into individual elemental tokens. They did this because they did not want the sword getting into the wrong hands, as it is so incredibly powerful. They put these tokens in tabernacles, deep inside five seperate dungeons. Furthermore, they would be protected by Source Guardians, constructs of immense power who would keep anyone from trying to get the tokens.
With prophecies of the Nightdrakin's return to Telluria, King Josephus III went to the five groups, each founded by a member of the original Rainbow Warriors. He chose one from each group who he felt were the strongest, fastest, most powerful, and most heroic of the rest.
As the prophecy was specific about the new Rainbow Warriors not receiving any additional help from the kingdom of Mistlight, the Rainbow Warriors now must not only get the tokens, uncover the secrets of their forging, find the original forge, reconstruct the Edge, and defeat the Nightdrakin, but they must do this all while obtaining more powerful swords, armor, and becoming stronger.
Will these new Rainbow Warriors prove to be powerful enough to slay the Nightdrakin once and for all, or will Nightdrakin prove to have grown far too powerful for even the Edge Of Many Colors?
In Rainbow Reveries, you will take the role of the the Rainbow Warriors: The Holy Knight Sir Aygus, the Fire Sorceress Kallista, the Arctic Witch Sprita, the Forest Ranger Wide, and the Thunder Warrior Anil-Zaxarus. You will switch between the five, each with their own unique traits and skills, as you battle across a dangerous land filled with enemies of the Rainbow Warriors, journey deep into labyrinthian dungeons full of traps and puzzles, build your arsenal of skills, get progressively better equipment and accessories, meet many colorful characters, and complete many interesting side quests on your way towards proving yourselves against the Nightdrakin.
Be prepared for a big game that's a throwback to classic American and European RPGs of days gone by. Unique graphics, lively music, retro sound effects. You'll be spending hours playing this one, and once you've beaten it, you can try out Hard Mode and see if you have what it takes to fight against even harder enemies, obtain Hard Mode equipment, and see an alternate ending not available in Regular Mode!
