My English teacher told us to punctuate this sentence: A women without her man is useless

I did only a period like I thought was normal but she goes up and says Males and females do it different?


Male: A women, without her man, is useless. (Apparently highlighting that women are useless??)

Women A women: without her, man is useless.

(Highlighting man is useless???)

.

Like what?? Who the fuck punctuates like that??? It was a survey like thing and I'm wondering who the hell they got because that is 100% not right.
