Rowen Rat, inside the Paltronics' files known as "Rowen Rat v.2", also known by other nicknames such as "Cowboy Rowen", "Rat Cowboy", "Rowen", "Rowan" (this one was actually created by accident, as some customers misspoken his name as "Rowan", due to his name and that word having one letter different and almost being spoken the same way), "The Rat", "Biotechnological Rowen" and "Biotronical Rowen" is, as the name inside the files suggest, the new and updated version of a decommissioned character, that was already being left to rot, even before the idea of replacing all animatronics was planned (the original Rowen Rat was decommissioned one year after the playhouse was opened and him being left to rot was related to him almost daily malfunctioning, being aggressive to the customers, having badly programmed personality and even - ripping out parts of his "skin"). So, once the idea of replacing all animatronics with the new, more "natural", more "durable" ones came out, the natural suggestion was to bring back Rowen Rat as a functioning character. There were. Of course, some doubts about it, because of the original one being an unstable character, being literally broken, but those fast disappeared, once remembering, that the updated character would no longer have all the problems the original had. He was even supposed to be created fourth, after Farmer Felix, but due to the well-known complications regarding Mother Moose's design, he, and other characters, were pushed to be created later, as Charlie v.2 was created the second, after Percy Poodle v.2.

The main problem, that came when creating him was the fact, that no one really know what was the original Rowen's breed of the rat, because of course, since Paltronics' animatronics weren't that accurate to the "real" versions of characters, there would be problems related to designs! Unlike, however, with characters such as Percy, Mother Moose and Charlie Cat, which they used the basic breed (Percy was obviously a classic poodle, Mother Moose - a classic moose and Charlie was a grey cat), it was a needed knowledge about what type of rat Rowen v.1 was even supposed to represent. Workers, like Sabrina and Samuel speculated Rowen v.1 was a Norway Rat - an average rat, they would often see on the streets of Ottawa, other workers such as Stan and Brutus would speculate he was supposed to be a roof rat - another common breed of the rat. Others, mainly the ones, who were inside the factory, speculated he could be an African Giant Rat - a breed of the rats, who were big, bigger than most of the breeds of rats. The same opinion had Jacob, so his opinion mattered the most out of all the Paltronics' workers, but that time the decision caused a serious conflict, because Samuel and Sabrina didn't agree on Rowen v.2 being an African Giant Rat only, and they wanted him to be a Norway Rat, which Jacob needed to end that conflict as fast as possible. So, as a result a compromise was achieved, where the genetically modified DNA would feature both Norway Rat and African Giant Rat. Some feared, that the mix could be dangerous, but the rest were just glateful, that Jacob could destroy any conflicts within the company faster, than John even did.

Another problem, that would come soon enough, was related to the role of original Rowen Rat, that he was fulfilling, before he got even decommissioned - some workers, such as Stan and Samuel speculated he had the same role as Felix v.1, except for him being in love with Mother Moose v.1, others speculated, that he was a "bad boy" of the main gang, causing lots of problems and creating "traps" (it was mainly related to his character inside the failed Percy's cartoon, where he would be shown to be "the sassy" one of the main group), others would even dare to say Rowen v.1 had no role, before he got decommissioned - which was discredited by the other workers, who remembered, when Rowen v.1 was still in use, that he had a role, but no one known what was the role even about. So, Paltronics had to expect him to want to be anything, and nothing would even stop it - nothing.

Rowen Rat v.2 would turn out to be the tallest and the biggest out of the main cast, due to him having African Giant Rat DNA - he would even be taller than Felix v.2, who was already tall enough, due to him being a ferret, so it was obvious he was TALLER than the original Rowen Rat, who seemed to be hilariously small, when someone thought of him at all, comparing him to the updated version. Soon enough he would show the interest into being a cowboy - not only him showing some behaviours, that would prove, that he was finding a role for himself, that no one known what was the role of the original Rowen Rat. Maybe it was for better? Maybe, because even though Paltronics showed to be kind of disappointed with the choice Rowen v.2 made, they actually needed to agree onto that, because they had no other choices. So, as a result, they gave him cowboy clothes, the books, mainly action books, where cowboys were shown, and even - a fake gun. Yes, a fake gun, because cowboys did have guns, right? Right. Soon enough, he would call himself "Rat Cowboy" (A nickname the newcomers of the playhouse would call him).

The most surprising, but not really, thing about this version of Rowen Rat was related to his relationship with the main gang, because due to the original one being decommissioned one year, after the playhouse was opened, workers simply didn't remember what was Rowen v.1 relationship with the main gang, so once Rowen v.2 started to interact with the rest of versions 2 of the characters, it was obvious the relationship could be different between Rowen v.1 and the v.1 of the cast. He would start to act like the "bad boy" of the gang - he would often try to disapprove the jokes of Charlie v.2, calling them somewhat "too bleak" and "having no good taste", he would try to playdate with Mother Moose v.2, to make Charlie v.2 jealous, he would even mess with Percy v.2, whether making a simple "traps" or even by outright acting like he was the real leader of the main gang. It was obvious he would be some sort of the "antagonistical" figure within the main gang, however there were moments, where he did act friendly towards them, which could lead to the fact, that he wasn't actually a "bad boy" and it was just him acting that way, because of him being "Rat Cowboy".

After the playhouse was reopened, and customers became curious about the return of Rowen Rat, he would soon enough gain some sort of "cult following" - not only because of the fact, that he was a really good cowboy. but his relationship with the main gang had actually a great chemistry - his rivalisation with Percy v.2 showed the fact, that he could even dare to try to question the decisions of "the main one", that he would even be brave enough to do that. He even got his own stage, that was inspired by western movies.

So, since the main gang was done and the playhouse was reopened, it was obvious Paltronics finished their project, righ t? They did stop making more "biotechnological" characters, right? Of course, they would stop, right? Well, actually they would-

Not. They would not stop on the main gang. You see, the reopening of the playhouse, with the updated cast was a great success, because not only it invited lots of people, but also it kinda showed the power of biotechnology to the point, where most kids on their birthdays would want to go to Percy's Playhouse, not to somewhere else - not to Freddy's, or Candy's, or anywhere, because their characters seemed to be "creepy" compared to the ones, that Paltronics have created. It was obvious, that the company would make more money, so they could even allow themselves to...

Expand the playhouse. That's right - Paltronics through the years did update the playhouse, adding new sections and new characters, because why not? They even added some characters to already existing sections, so there could be more situations, more relationships, some new drama and other stuff.

Of course, after some years, people would start going missing inside the playhouse and no one knew why, why they started to go missing. Maybe it's just something, that just happened? Maybe.
