Piskel will be used for character graphics (that's right, the graphics that are stored in the "characters" folder of an RPG Maker project), Krita will be used for large graphics that are not intended to be pixel art graphics (such as the title screen, splash screen, map parallaxes, game icons, in-game image objects (such as those used in a typical Undertale / Deltarune-styled cutscene)), some system graphics (windowskin for example, especially if we want the in-game windows to be more impressive than editing them using software that only offers pixel art-oriented tools (such as Aseprite or Pixel Studio)), and tileset editing.
Plus, I also use Krita for most of the game promotional art, including thumbnails and header. And the first batch of sprites I ever made for an RPG Maker project is made using Piskel, as well as all of the unused character assets for my project, which at the time of the creation of these assets, revolving around the protagonist going to Hell to fight the Devil's army. (I scrapped the idea due to it being too cliche, and my interests in making Touhou doujinshi as a way to relive my doujinshi artist career (I used to create ideas for fanmade Pokemon anime series, but never made them real due to fears of copyright issues)
I hope you appreciate my plan on what I pick to create art assets for my games!
