Paradise of Debauchery - Weekly Progress - March 7th to 13th

Hello everybody and welcome to this week's progress. I moved to berlin! The moving was all set up, I just had to get there. And now I could finally meet my classmates from Games Academy!

I still worked on the game of course sinc eit's so much fun, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun.........

A New Game button!

You can finally start anew on the title screen. Especially important since you won't be able to play old save files with version 2.0. Good thing this is a short game and more about replayability. Both because it's a completely new game loop, and because the achievement and encyclopedia scripts would crash the game.

Speaking off, all achievements are finished now!! The encyclopedia is all set up as well, but I need to change some lines in the script so the entires don't look messed up.

The biggest work this week went into Baby's dungeon, obviously with its own shooter minigame programmed purely by events! Your goal is to defeat three enemies in this digital world, get some bonus revenue, and f*** off to the next floor of Baby's dungeon.

This minigame features working projectiles, 3 enemies that are chosen randomly, enemy HP and ATK that even increase if you beat dungeons, and a randomly spawning shopkeeper.

The shopkeeper can fully heal you, which is so nice of them since you lose actual HP in this minigame. He also sells you upgrades to your weapon in the digital world, AND most importantly: The price for killing enemies here. You can turn this into a great spot for grinding tokens.

As you can see, all of this is based on The Desolate Hope. And I can't believe how well I can create a minigame like this just with event commands. Took me three days, and around 50 switches and variables just for this small game.

Before I made this, the first thing I did this week was to finish Scraptrap's dungeon! Only random events remained. Last week I replayed a certain fangame just to get inspiration and finally get the idea.

When I was done with the big task of the dungeons, I found time to do noted graphical changes. The "rat difficulty" level is now shown as risk, similar to FNaF 6.

I made my own icons for battle commands. Look at these cute fellas!

Another character has been revamped! The one and only Music Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan! His new third skill gives him a very unique effect, where he.... oh you will see.

Only one to go... Nedd... what skills to give this hillbilly?

And lastly, I finished one more of the new bosses. ;)

The upcoming week I really need to turn down. I plan to maybe take on the graphics for the circus dungeon so soon you finally can vote for a sneek peak!

Have been working way too much on this everyday.. hence why I again shoved this showcase to monday. And I'm in Berlin now so there's that.

Thanks for reading!

My last student project at Games Academy started. This time it's an expressive platforming game!

I'm doing the design and art for all of the UI. The logo was also created by myself.

You can already play an early build here: https://ozmao.itch.io/echoing-skies

Gallery screen I designed for my semester project Echoing Skies.

Changed the battle HUD... again. I thought using the FNaF 6 screen would be perfect.

Fredbear's Family Diner

2.0 coming soon.

Side mode is done, as you can see. I will not finish everything that was planned. No matter how many months I wait, there's no motivation coming.

It will come eventually.

Phantom Focus releases next week!

Before you get to play our game, check out some of the AMAZING art progress that has been made in this final week!

You'll also be able to HEAR amazing voices recorded by the team and edited by myself.

Happy Anniversary to FNAF and all of you in this awesome community!

I am making something VERY UNSUAL to celebrate!

Happy #WIPWednesday!

Are you working on a game?

Making some art?

Practicing a song?

Something else?

Tell us in the comments!

After a bit o' feedback, I combined the monitors and character portraits.

Now it would be cool to have someone who can do models so those look special as well...
