people ask our stance on streaming so to clarify; do it lol. stream, record, broadcast, tell your friends, your neighbors, your neighbors friends etc lol. we fully support and endorse that kind of thing, all we ask is for a link so we can see too

I'm bad at predicting time frames 😆 every time i think we've only got a few weeks left, something pops up to steal my focus lol... we're still making progress though, getting the village updated, combat reworked a bit, and ai improvements.

Plus weapons. loooooots of weapons. 1H and 2H variants, each with different attack speeds, stamina costs, damage (ofc) and ranges. as you level up with each weapon type you'll get a little faster and hit a little harder.

The deeper you go, the darker it gets...

in case you need the controls layout until we're able to update it. gameplay hint; don't underestimate how useful a well timed dodge roll can be 😉.

some of the ledges and torches that help guide the path now. definitely much easier to find the right path/climb the towers now.

I have yet to beat the boss without taking damage, he always gets me at least once lmao. maybe you can do better :D

Testing and balancing combat. haven't implemented magic yet, but that will put a whole new spin on it. skeletons are a bit tough for level 1 but it can be done. they're in the 6-10 range.

Tweaking the combat a bit so it feels less hectic and more controlled/Tactical-ish. More options to create and close distance as well as the beginning stages of the magic system... magic will be used for combat, exploration, and even farming.

We're launching a demo for our game "From the Heartlands" soon, if you'd like to check it out we have a page for it here on gamejolt now 😀. Heal the land, build up your homestead, help your neighbors and fight back the Witherbark.

random post, but this is where 85% of the game was built lol. my sister is selling it and it'll be gone tomorrow, but i wanted to document and share. a little 'behind the scenes' type thing lol.

if you're interested in learning a bit more about us, we were featured in the february issue of Indie Gamer Magazine. he did an amazing spread for us amd some other awesome looking indie games, check it out!
