We're launching a demo for our game "From the Heartlands" soon, if you'd like to check it out we have a page for it here on gamejolt now ๐. Heal the land, build up your homestead, help your neighbors and fight back the Witherbark.
Next up
New demo is live, and there's some pretty significant changes including an intro cutscene, people to talk to, full save system and gamepad support (excluding for the title screen... gotta click that with the mouse) but yea, let us know what you think :D
Always start to feel like an official project once main menus and sfx are in lol
digging the title screen, and the music helps make it feel like a real game lol.
what do you think?
I refined the combat in Lobo: The Howl Withinโsmoother transitions, better animation blends, and improved camera work!
As a solo dev, I stitched together 4 animation packs from 3 creators to make it feel like one cohesive system.
Dialogue is in, with conditional checks and branching options as well, its feeling more like a game already
Every good adventure hides something behind a waterfall. In Lobo, when you reach the bridge, youโll spot a small hint, easy to miss, but hard to forget.
Follow it, and you might just uncover something special. Exploration will be rewarded.
WIP of the intro cinematic. Still very rough draft... but now we'll be able to add cutscenes and dialogue, to actually let the player communicate with the townsfolk and learn the story.
Exciting :D
took all day but it's all in now. every level gives one point in every stat, and your playstyle will affect your characters stats as well. swinging a sword increases strength, hitting enemies increases sword ability, etc.
My new & probably my last project for a while
based on Superliminal fan game I created almost 2 years ago
Gotta finish this artistic shader nightmare
Updates to the crop system so you can tell when they're ready to harvest. also working on building add-ons for the homestead so now chicken coops are placeable. chickens can be harvested for their meat if you need it more than the eggs
