Plans for the future

Hey there. I'd like to tell you what my future project will be!

This one is a sort of full circle game for me. You see, my first true rpg maker engine is actually rpg maker FES for the 3ds. I can say that I did use the other engines before such as MV or VX Ace, but FES was when I actually started learning how the engine works, like how to use switches or variables. Basic stuff. Most consider this addition of the rpg maker family to be something of a 'children's toy', but to me it's what got me started, and what's gotten me into game development. For fun, I'd like to do a PC remake of the game I remember the best from this era. That game being Bandit Quest!

This game is a puzzle game like some of my most recent games. There are two sequels that I made but surprisingly, or unsurprisingly, the first is the best one. Given the engine, the game is quite old and has a lot of potential that I did not have the knowledge to tap into. You can expect this project to be made after I finish up with Nuke the Fridge.

Side note
I'd like to clear up something concerning Florida Project and Nuke the Fridge. That being, these are not separate projects - they are the same!

For those of you who have been following me, you've known about Project Florida for a while now. Florida Project was always going to be a code name. Back then, I had no idea what Florida Project was going to look like outside of vague ideas, so for the time being I gave it a code name until there was a clearer direction and stuff like that. Now that we've been in development for a while, I can see where the project is headed and make a better name based off of that vision. So, for those reasons, Florida Project is now called Nuke the Fridge. Simple as that.

Thank you for reading.

I redrew the first room. Also, the last devlog before Act 0 is released.

Hi! I am entering this months game jam with a sequel to my entry from the previous game jam. A point n click puzzle game! There have been some good entries so far. Better than mine! Good luck to everyone participating!

Sneaky peaky and a wall of text

@ryon is a Jolter to Watch, game dev, programmer, and artist who worked on Five Nights at Friedrich's! Follow @ryon before the quest ends on July 15 and you'll get Coins!

Ok, I combine two styles into one ! Maybe recency bias, but I like the new one over the old (right is new).

Happy Video Game Day!

July 8 is Video Game Day, a holiday that's obviously close to our hearts at Game Jolt.

Celebrate by completing our quests! They won't be around long, so get the rewards while you can.

Character Portraits

For this jam game, I plan on drawing 30 maps in total. Since there was no pet artist I can pull out of my pocket, I had to figure out a style that is easy to make, which is in the 1st image! I tried other styles, which you can see in the other images.

Happy #WIPWednesday! Are you working on a game? Making some art? Practicing a song? Something else? Tell us in the comments!

Someone indirectly gave me an idea when I posted one of the avatars. So, during avatar selection, there are now 8 different skin tones you can choose from! You can be normal or 'deep fried' :)
