I just wanted to quickly update you all, I was initially aiming to have another progress report out this month, but I don't think I'm going to be able to, and here's why-
I've gone through some really.. and I do mean really rough patches regarding my mental health recently, It was causing me to lose motivation to do much of anything.. like, at all.
So, I didn't get anywhere near as much done as I would have hoped, so I do apologize for that, I know there hasn't been a lot of updates on our progress and such, this past week or so I've finally started to make much more, but not enough to make a whole devlog out of, but let me summarize some of the changes at least
Combining/Endowing partially scrapped, the concept is now limited to specific interactions and side quests for the sake of keeping things simple, endowing may very well get completely scrapped as we've come to realize how ridiculously overpowered this might be for Betrayal route players
Workflow adjustments- previously there was a lot of focus on cutscenes since there's a fair few of them, however, with this dialog overhaul still ongoing, it felt like a much better choice to simply shift focus to the core gameplay, getting the thing playable as a whole, and coming back to do the cutscenes before releasing a beta or demo
One of the big future plans is finally getting the "outfits" system fully incorporated, but right now, it's not a huge priority.
With that noted, I want to thank you all for your patience throughout the games development, seriously, you're all awesome. We truly cannot wait to show you what we have in store in the future, and for you all to be able to explore this world for yourselves, before I end this post, I want to ask you all a question? do you think we should create a game community for Gritfell? I'll also have a poll opening up shortly regarding this.
