I'm still making this in Gdevelop 5, I'm only making the cutscenes in Game Maker. Probably going to have to completely redo this anyways, because it's really awkward, and I'd like to add more silly expressions. I've never really animated like this before, so I kinda just winged it, it's fairly obvious, especially at the end with Lilly's Shoe Tractor. I tried pulling influence from SMBZ & Super Paper Mario(Wii) for the animation style, but it still feels really off lol. I have a little more footage ready, but it only lets me post 1 video at a time, so look forward to that over the coming weeks.
Next up
Redoing the world map to be less linear, really liking how it's turned out so far. Still W.I.P. Obviously
Finally re-did the designs for the main trio in my new style.
Thinking of trying for more of a 2.5d style, only major issues is that slopes are a pain in the butt to do, and I'll have to rework most(if not all) of the original code since the demo(which I'll have to do anyways), and the cutscenes will be harder to do
Muppy Muddington Tales : January 2023 Main Progress Update (Warning Major Spoilers)
Tried to practice drawing some more with a certain hedgehog.
I might give Lilly her own spinoff as I continue with making Muppy Tales she's quickly turning out to be such a banger character. It's crazy to me now that in the pre-rewrite of the story she only was planned to be on screen for less than 30 seconds total
Progress is going smoothly once again, my attempts at animating the cutscenes are still...not good, but I am learning.
I was originally going to do the prologue section last, since the original plan was that it would a remake of MTB:TDOW but I changed most of the plot and gameplay so I decided to do it first plus it stands on its own anyways. So anyways here is a teaser!
Merry Christler! And a Happy Mew Years!
