My last project vs. my current project!

Unlike any indie game I've done before, I have this goal with Insectile that the maps should feel "cute" even when zoomed out. At some point, I'd love to do a time lapse of me building one of these rooms :)

For this #ScreenshotSaturday, I have a little Before and After! This is Act 1 of Belle Boomerang 5 years ago and today! Look at how much the game's grown!

Let me show you my favorite Insectile: the Locksnail!

In place of doors and keys in a traditional Zelda-like, Locksnails will be scattered around the world. They act as mini-bosses closing off certain areas!

I've been hard at work on level design sketches the past couple weeks. Maybe I'll post some soon so you all can peek at my process! Stay tuned :)
