Turns out I didn't fix my bug. I found another Goblin stuck next to a chair.

I've turned on more debug data to help find the issue

Look at all these Goblins I spawned to increase the chance! Still nothing!

Got 1! Stuck in Wander State without a path!


Found 1! Seems it's stuck in the Wander State, without a path.

Now I just need to check the state code, maybe try adding something to reset if there's no path. That's fixing the symptom rather than the cause though.

The chair with cheese over it means that the chair thinks it still has a Goblin sitting in it, so that didn't get cleared properly, but the Goblin should still wander regardless of that.

I'm guessing it's to do with the non-existing path.

Mae Borowski is the main character of Night in the Woods! It's an adventure game that tells the story of her return to her hometown of Possum Springs. She was confirmed as canonically pan in a social media post by the game's creator Scott Benson.

So I spent a while remaking the title screen load code only to realise the reason it was taking so much longer than a normal island was because the file for it had all the objects in one big list instead of being broken up in to chunks
