Twenty followers release! Caution: SPOILERS


LORE:

While I haven't set it in stone yet, I have a general consensus of what I want the plot to be:

Upon arrival at the first location, one of the protagonists smells the iron ridden scent of blood, as well as a cry from what seems to be a child within the house. As any good main character contains, theres TRAUMA, sparking a flashback encouraging them to enter the household. Finding a "water" stained note containing rules, you may choose to follow them and proceed, or throw caution to the wind and go for it.

IN GAME ITEM:

THE FOLLOWING IS AN EXCERPT FROM A NOTE IN THE FIRST LOCATION, CRUCIAL TO BEATING IT -

1. When you arrive at the door, knock three times, pause for 3 seconds. If you fail, RUN, and don’t stop. Don’t try to hide. THEY will find you.

2. If you manage to get the knocking pattern right, a slender, sunken figure will answer the door. It will ask you what you want and why you are there. You must respond with the following: Hello Mr. smith, I am here to sleepover with your son. Make sure to not speak aggressively or he will think you are a threat. If you say anything other than that, PRAY.

2.5 If you do # 2 correctly, he will let you in and escort you to my room. DO NOT LEAVE HIM. you will get lost, forever.

3. Once you arrive to my room, I will answer the door and let you in. DO NOT LOOK BACK AT MY FATHER.

4. We can do whatever we please from 12pm to 11:30 pm. Just don’t make eye contact with my parents.

4.5 Once it reaches 11:30, we must turn off all of the lights and go to sleep. You have until 11:35 to sleep. Or at least pretend to sleep. Don’t worry about me.

5. Once the clock hits 11:35, THEY start roaming. THEY being my "mother and father."

6. Make sure to lock all of the doors, this will not stop them if they are angry, but will give you time to hide. You cannot escape if they are angry.

7. If you wake up at anytime before 7:42am, check the porch light. The "parents" like to keep it on. If it is normal( yellow ish) you can go back to sleep. If it is purple, CLOSE YOUR EYES AND COVER YOUR FACE UP. Otherwise they will sense that you are awake. If it is red, you are to late, I dare not think what will happen to you.

8. If you feel that your feet are wet, curl into a ball and count to 187, if they still feel wet, pray that god will save you.

9. If you somehow make a noise during the night, hide in a closet, THEY are coming. If you do not make it to a closet in time, as much is the same in rule seven.

10. You must wake up at 7:42 exactly, if you wake up anything later you will not wake up again.

I doubt that you will make it through the night, but if you do, here are the morning rules.

11. Do not leave the room unless I am awake.

12. Once I am awake we can go upstairs.

13. Once we are upstairs, "mom" will be staring at you, if her eyes are red, we must go downstairs and stay down there until 9:30.

14. Once we get back upstairs, breakfast will be ready. Eat it all and don’t make a mess, mother doesn’t like messes.

15. After you eat. You just leave. Otherwise, you will have to stay the night again.

GAMEPLAY:

This is a third person game with a similar character style to that of Paper Mario, though is boldly tossed into a fictional world of horror and as such is paired with dark backgrounds, monster, etc. NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART OR YOUNG CHILDREN (Teenagers, Adults)

You play as a pair of Mournful (Co-Op is supported), navigating through disturbing environments from the depths of the woods, to the basement of a casino.

Fighting:

This is not a turn based rpg style of a game, (I find most to be rather boring), instead is a run for your life until the correct opportunity is presented. When battle is initiated, there are a variety of options to attack using magic based systems, [After a Shinigami is beaten, (boss of the location), their will be gathered abilities like spirit sending, (I sense a JoJo reference), which can be used to attack and defend against Netherbornes.

This is a tree reference concept that @The_Knights_Ghost designed. We're talking about making the leaves blue or pink instead to match the vibe we have going on in the game.

I was working on the cover art for a manga style comic book about Archesim until I realized... "Hm what does that face look like..." I have unintentionally made some sort of amalgamation of my hero characters. You tell me.

Update #4 is a new game thumbnail, well progress on it anyway.

I modeled the table and created a texture for the top. I still need to model some more stuff, and a couple of loose items to sit on top.

New manga cover progress. Went for combining JoJo's with My Hero art styles. Pretty good in my opinion

@balmut is a Jolter to Watch! They post great game dev updates! Follow them before the quest ends on October 15 and you'll get Coins!

Almost, fully textured for what's there (the papers on top of the desk are going to have text and so I'm hiring a digital calligraphist). By Friday I'll hopefully be able to finish extra details like empty cans, and of course the shameful sheep.
