Hello everyone! Long time no see, huh?
Well, august is here! Isn't that amazing, just how quickly time can pass... And you might be wondering, why we were gone for like two months, and the awnser to that question is quite simple; Development is going horribly.
Don't worry tho, The game is not getting cancelled. I don't plan on doing that anytime soon. I promised a Demo will come, and I am keeping that promise. Tho, at this time I'm not sure myself when you guys will get to see it, I just know you will.
Also, when I say "Horribly" I mean that there's really been a lot of obstacles stopping the team and I from making anything significant. Things like unknown Gamemaker errors, not completely understanding the engine, working on other projects or just poor mental health. And even tho atleast three of these apply to me, they also apply to the rest of the team, and that's valid.
Anyway, let's get onto the very small showcase & discussion of what we were ABLE to do during this time.
~INTRODUCTION + RUINS
The introduction part of the game Is almost finished. Only one panel remains to be remade.
If you're in our Discord, I'm your you've already seen some of these in our Sneak peeks section, but if you aren't, here they are!

Wonderful, aren't they? I am taking Pride in creating these, and I am sure by the time the Demo releases, my art skills will get even better!
I'd also like to thank @/Radiaction on Discord and Gamejolt for helping me with the creation of one of these panels! I am sure without his help, they wouldn't have turned out so wonderfully. Thanks, Ray!
Okay, Now onto the RUINS.

A mysterious, purple door, seemingly locked.
The Ruins honestly also haven't gained much progress besides writing.
We've rewritten One cutscene and added a completely new one on top of it all. Besides these two details, some polishing and again, details, the Ruins should be done.
At this point, Just some lighting effects, decoration and tilesets are needed to be implemented in order to finish the "Detailing". We really want to give the Ruins a desolated, rediscovered feel, basing on the story and circumstances, and we hope you guys will like what they hold in store for you!
~NEW AREA?!
You've heard that right, the Demo will feature a New area!
You may or may not have already figured this out due to our small teaser in the last Update on the game's development, but you may or may not have also assumed that the script is the same, or atleast similar to what we have shown off way back.
Well, the anwser is, no!
We have actually made a new area hidden somewhere within the ruins that you, as Belle, will have to navigate through, no matter how it smells, or how bad your allergies will get.
Fight new (Old) ((New)) enemies, fit just for the occasion, explore unstable bridges and docks, swim in gross water and more!
We will try to not reveal too much about it, but I hope this short "Description" will keep you guys curious!
