Update coming to Classic!


I've been working on code clean up and quality of life stuff for the past few days and it's almost time to release it. It's mostly backend and bug fixes but here's a list of a few most interesting changes:

  • Changed the pause menu to the collection menu and reworked some unaligned UI

  • Fixed buggy controls for menus

  • Changes the start screen to use the space bar because people were confused

  • Made all text use Arial

  • Made it so you can't fire your weapon in the warp zone

  • Added wave and location text for the warp zone and the end screen

  • Change controls for some menus (and added clickable buttons)

  • Made the death screen more usable

  • and more!

This update may come out in parts so look forward to it! I still have quite a bit to do until part 1 comes out and I won't tell you all what's in it until I release it.

About the engine port:

The port is still under way. I've been busy with other projects for the past few months so I haven't had much time to work on it. I have a few engine features I want to add before I continue production. (Better audio player and a multi image animator) Once they are added production should move pretty fast since most of the UI and level design will be reused.

Anyway I thought since it's been a while I should put out a few updates. Sorry it's not any new content or anything but I'm trying to keep classic pretty bare bones. In the future I'd like to add more unlockables and rework the final boss.
