Hey, hows it going?
Not great. 
Yep. That's right. After I've sacrificed so much of my games development time to build up a community here, its not enough for GameJolt, and they have refused my application to become a creator. 
Honestly, I am quite disappointed and saddened by this.
GameJolt originally emailed me inviting me to apply as a GameJolt creator back on the 11th November 2022 - when I had no followers. Since then, I have been working hard on just about every quest, being active in the community and making really great friends here. I enjoyed every moment of that, thinking I was building up to something, that would eventually pay off... 
At this point in time, I have 1,464 followers. That's 464 more than the stated minimum requirement, but sadly that's not enough for GJ. There are some other hidden requirements, that they don't specify, which I don't meet. 
As a result of this rejection, I plan to stop spending so much time here. As there is no clear next objective on how to achieve GJ creator status, I'm just going to focus my time elsewhere on things I can control and focus on some positives elsewhere. The most obvious being more time developing JumpDudes! 
In some ways, this is a relief for me. My time is precious and I have to split it between many aspects of game development and marketing, with social media presence just being one part of a long list of responsibilities. Removing a platform from the list does really make a difference. GameJolt has been sapping my time even when on holidays half way around the world. When I should have been enjoying myself, I was instead "Liking 100 posts" or "Completing 10 world quests" in hope it was helping my chances at becoming a creator. 
So, I'm sorry if I don't respond to messages, shouts or gifts from now on, I just wont be checking in as often!
I still have some really good friends here though, so I won't be leaving forever. I'll check back from time to time, but I don't expect to be posting or questing like before, as there doesn't seem to be any point beyond what I have already done, and it just costs me time logging in every day.
I also have posts scheduled all the way out into December. I'll leave those to go out as planned, but I may be unresponsive in the comments section on them!

Sorry if this has come across as a bit of a rant. Please note, while I am upset at the situation and circumstances, I don't blame GameJolt and their staff. They have a job to do and they do it well.
I understand the fault is with me. I'm not popular enough, profitable enough, or creative enough to make it this time. Maybe one day I will be. Perhaps when JumpDudes is officially and publicly released later this year, things will change.
