From The Heartlands - Gameplay Test Demo 0.1.0

Version: 0.1.06 days ago

#Brindlehollow was once bathed in the light of the Verdant Flame... Now it sits in it's shadow.

Heal the land by forging connections with your neighbors and building up your homestead into the ultimate farm. Or craft gear and go battle the shadows. Learn magical spells to aid you in battle, help out around the farm, or open up new depths of the catacombs for exploring and rooting out the corruption of the witherbark.

Hunt animals to build armor sets or cook meals to aid you in battle. Decorate your home and farm without a grid and place where you want. No two farms will be the same, with completely free decoration placement place what you want where you want, arrange your garden into perfect squares or till circles for your crops to grow.

It's all in your hands.

New demo is live, and there's some pretty significant changes including an intro cutscene, people to talk to, full save system and gamepad support (excluding for the title screen... gotta click that with the mouse) but yea, let us know what you think :D

Always start to feel like an official project once main menus and sfx are in lol

New update, save system works and tracks all of the various stats and progress towards them, as well as changes made to your homestead (aside from crops..)

the mines are open to test proc gen, but they're empty. to leave them go back to the first door.

please note this is essentially a "Proof of concept" and as such there may be some slight issues. we've smashed the game breaking bugs we've found but there is an unstuck option in the menu if you need it.

Demo V2 uploaded, a few changes

-movement tweaked to allow more precise control when strafing

-Start the game with basic gear instead of having to pick it up

-UI adjustments

-Various QoL additions and tweaks.

Let us know what you think :D
