Overview

Shadows Awaken is a first-person psychological horror game that plunges players into the depths of an abandoned house, where every corner whispers of decay and forgotten pasts. As the main protagonist, Johan K. Wilson, you'll navigate this eerie environment, uncovering the haunting stories behind its spectral inhabitants.

Umbras

The Umbras are formidable supernatural entities, towering at least seven to ten times stronger than humans. Mindless and relentless, they feed exclusively on human flesh, driven by primal instincts and devoid of any moral compass. However, these creatures have a critical vulnerability: they are severely weakened by sunlight, burning upon exposure to its rays. This weakness makes them vulnerable during the day, offering a rare opportunity for survival.

Gameplay

An anxiety mechanic intensifies fear when surrounded by darkness and paranormal events, affecting the player’s ability to endure prolonged encounters. The Reality Fracture focus mechanic allows players to briefly perceive unseen entities and objects, revealed only for a split second within a burst of camera flash, turning observation and patience into a critical survival instinct.
