What do you think?

Just played through the demo and I thought it was pretty cool! The characters a fun, the battles are simple but enjoyable, nonetheless. The music was also nice. I especially liked the battle music; it gets you ready to fight without being overbearing to the point you want to mute the damn noise and play your own music lol. I do wish that the victory theme was customized since it's a bit weird to hear rtp music alongside custom music. Same could be said for the graphics, too. It would have been nice to wait longer for Lucid if it means having all tilesets be custom, as at the moment the game looks kind of weird. Oh well, I look forward to the full game! But there were some issues with the demo. One, the Soulini questline is bugged - as the boss is not interactable. I'm not sure why since it seems to be on the same level as the player, but it doesn't do anything when I interact with it . Also, there was a duplicate dialogue with the guy who gave the quest which was kind of creepy. One last thing, I would keep in mind the collusions. The mushrooms were sometimes placed in areas that allowed you to walk through the cliff edges, specifically in the fungal forest. Well, that's all for now. Good luck on Lucid!!!

You can link a website to your game page in the section where you manage the state of the game (devlog, early access, complete/stable). Not sure if you would prefer to have the Lucid site up here, but I thought I'd make it known to you if you weren't aware already.

Hello! Just finished playing!

You already got a comment about the collisions, which was something VERY noticeable while I played, so I won't reiterate.

I'll like to add two personal observations:

1- It's kinda lame that all the party members have the exact same stats. It's compensated by the different spells they learn, but still.

2- I'll say the map design could be better. There's a lot of just walking in open spaces with not much to do.

But whatever, the game it's fine. I like it. Specially the custom damage display, the enemies displayed on the world instead of random encounters and the general concept is cool.

Play testers have confirmed, as have the discord mods, as have the 4channers, as have the Facebook AI accounts, as have the gamers waiting for GTA VI, as have Dream and TommyInnit, (Technoblade would have) , and Danny Gonzales in 2 Danny 2 Furious, That indeed, through the power of the Logan Paul and Lunchly, this game is great.

10/10

would play test again

CREDITS:

I'm hoping to release a demo at some point in late Q1 or mid-Q2 of 2025. The demo will be entirely lucid world and not the real world.

When it releases there will be things such as a development retrospective video, a development museum similar to ULTRAKILL's "Hall of Shame", a PDF detailing Lucid's development along with showing concept art for the game, and MAYBE a book version of the game for those non-gamers on a platform such as Wattpad.

FAQ:

Q1: Why is Lucid meant for over 12-13?

A1: Lucid has a lot more serious tone in moments that make it so if you want to understand it, you should be maybe over 12. But you can still enjoy it if you're younger with the other main focus being comedy.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q2: When can we get some screenshots or a trailer for Lucid?

A2: There are currently two teaser trailers for Lucid. A demo trailer will come along with the demo which is expected in either the spring or early summer of 2025 as for screenshots, there are some on the gamepage.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q3: When will Lucid be released?

A3: I'm not sure. Lucid is turning out to be bigger than I first expected. While the wait will be worth it, I will make a release date trailer once Lucid is entirely complete. There will be a trailer when each section of the game is done showing off new areas!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q4: Will Lucid be paid?

A4: No, that fact does pain me slightly due to the fact this amount of effort and hard work will be free. However, it is mainly free due to the use of RPG MAKER MV's RTP assets.
