When Mr. Clone(You), tried to time travel back into the past to stop himself from dropping his ice cream. The Time Machine malfunctions, causing him to be send into the After Image. Which a place when time doesn't exist. Basically universal time purgatory. This is how he meets Alex, the Ruler of the Afterimage. Alex decided to instead of just killing Mr. Clone, make on 5 nights for his life. If he survives, he will be send back to his time. But... That's IF he survives.
