Anode Heart

just played through the demo and i have to say that this is one the best demo's i played in a while! everythings performs well, the various mechanics (like the day-and-night cycle) are fantastic, the overall aesthetic of a robotic/computer-y world feels great and unique - i could also see some inspiration from digimon in the game)

the sprites look fantastic - they're an eyecandy, especially because of the overall palette of the game!) the cute little overworld sprites and the nicely done and detailed battle sprites are all done perfectly! the style also compliments the design of the game and the characters - especially the main character - Seek, such a fantastic and cute design!) also Seek's head as the icon for the game works very well!

my favorite thing about the game has to be the Tama's - they have some things in common with pokemon and digimon but are definitely unique in their own right! the TP system used in battles is certainly cool and easy to learn while still being enjoyable during the fights. i also sensed some inspiration in Tama's from them little tamagotchi games that were popular back in the day jajajajajaja

the music sound serene and nice to the ears - especially the bit that plays in the Kernel Dump. there are also some cool details like the lamp posts actually working during the night and different tamas out in the forest depending on the time of day - all of the abovementioned qualities and details make up for a promising and good demo! good job!

the demo also doesn't sport any bugs or mistakes - everythings works and performs fine! although, my only complaint is that the sprint speed is not that fast, but it's not fatal and i don't think it's necessary to change it!) all in all, Anode Heart's demo was a nice little experience with lots of cool ideas and details that pleasantly surprised me!) good job, Stochastic, and take care!
