What Command Omega Is
Command Omega is a strategy card game, built in the style of an RPG. In this game, you, the commander, have assembled a deck of 45 cards to use as your army and weapons against the opposing commander. However the cards won't just kneel to you, you need to have influence over them. In order to control your soldiers, you must wield the yellow energy known as Omega Force. As your Omega Force increases, so does your power to command and your ability to summon more powerful soldiers and become a more powerful commander!
Rules
The game is started when both players have placed their Commander in their Command Zone, determined who will go first, and have placed three Omega Counters on their Commander. Afterwards, both players draw 6 cards into their hands. The first player cannot attack or conduct their Draw Phase (Draw Card then Place Omega Counter on Commander) on their first turn. When starting the game, each player can only use a Commander with an Omega value of 3 or less.
When the Commander dies, if no effects are legally activated that would allow for a new Commander to be called in it’s place, the controller of the dead Commander has lost the game.
A turn begins by placing one Omega Counter on your Commander and drawing 1 card.
When an Ally (not a Commander) is dealt 10 or more points of damage, it’s owner must remove 1 Omega Counter from his/her Commander.
You have four zones for Ally Cards and three zones for Rune Cards. Runes cost no Omega Counters to activate and can be set for activation beyond the turn they are set or activated from the hand. Remember, some Runes will require you to set them to activate their effects. When a Runes effect has activated, if it does not say that it will stay on the field, send the Rune to the Cemetery. You can call 1 Ally from you hand per turn without using a card effect, and only if you have more or the same amount of Omega Counters as their Omega Points.
There are three types of Allies: Synthetic Allies, Advanced Allies, and Regular Allies. Synthetic and Regular Allies go into the Main Deck, while Advanced Allies go into the Advanced Deck. Synthetic Allies have no Omega Points and cannot be called unless their controller kills two or more allies on their side of the field whose combined list of types contains all of the types of the Synthetic Monster that is attempting to be called. Advanced Allies have an Omega Value, but cannot be called unless their controller kills every Ally listed on the card as its requirements and if the killed Allies’ Omega Points are equal to the Advanced Monster attempting to be called. Most of these cards will require one specific Ally and one Time-Type Ally, but some may require two or more specific Allies only.
Allies and Commanders have two stats: HP and ATK. When a card’s HP stat is at 0, it is killed and sent to the Cemetery. When battling, both of these stats come into play, each opposing Ally/Commander battling takes their opponent’s ATK out of their HP.
Set Runes can be activated at any time, as long as it is not on the same turn that their controller set them.
Allies and Commanders have three types of Card Effects, Trigger, Passive, and Battle. Battle effects only activate when the monster attacks. Trigger effects can only be used once per turn and only during your Preparation Phase or Recovery Phase. Passive Abilities are always active.
Commanders can be killed and replaced with new ones, if you have the Omega Counters to call it. This does not cause you to lose the game because a new Commander replaces your old one. When you do this it is called Promotion.
After you draw and increase your Omega Counters, (in what’s called the Draw Phase) you enter the preparation phase. During the Preparation Phase you can set Runes, call One Ally from your hand, activate an Allies’ Trigger Card Effect, Synthesize an Ally, Advance an Ally, Promote a Commander, and set/activate a Rune. You cannot battle during this phase.
When you are done with your Preparation Phase, your Battle Phase begins! During this phase, you cannot call monsters from your hand without effects or activate a Rune from you hand. All you can do during this phase is attack and activate set Runes. Each Ally and Commander can only attack once.
After the Battle Phase you have the Recovery Phase, which is just like the preparation phase.
After the Recovery Phase you have the End Phase. You can skip directly to this phase from your Preparation or Battle Phase. During this phase some card effects will activate, but when they’re done, or if they don’t activate, it is the other player’s turn and they start the process all over again.
