Decypress Intro and Info
This game was created for CCT382H5 at the University of Toronto Mississauga in late 2021.
The assignment was focused on world-building, and narrative. And although gameplay was not a part of it, I felt like adding a souls-like flare for the fun of it.
FromSoftware Inspirations
Decypress takes heavy inspiration from the Dark Souls and Bloodborne games by FromSoftware, and while not polished- fans will see some similarities to entertain themselves for a short while.

Decypress is a game by Scott Warren (Sayincraft Studios), and TongYe 'Haztyr' Zhang.
Game Design, Level Design, Game Direction, Programming, characters, and all things visual was made by Scott Warren (Sayincraft Studios).

Game Tech Info
This game is designed to be run on a 64 bit Windows PC. There are graphics settings to help with performance, however, performance may vary as it was only tested with 2 capable machines.
There are 4 Levels, with several enemy types.
Sadly items do not save between levels, but they are all hidden in unique areas per level.
Certain events need to transpire to continue, it is important to read NPC dialogue to have a clearer direction.

Only mouse and keyboard are fully supported and is recommended you use that control scheme. Controllers have very minor partial support.
The game does not have any save features, so be wary about quitting the game.
Controls
W.A.S.D to move. E to interact/perform an action. Arrow keys to cycle-equipped items. Press I to open and navigate inventory menus. Tab to lock onto enemies. Q to roll. Left-click to attack. Space to jump.
