Generic Man

I loved this game! I remember playing it a while ago. After another playthrough, it's still as fun as I remember! The strange ice physics in the 2nd fortress stage was the only thing that was really annoying. This game combined my favorite games into one, really enjoyable!

Well, I just finished defeating the bonus boss after clearing everything else on Hard and I must say that this game was surprisingly good. Aside from the ice physics in the first fortress stage seeming a bit wonky, the gameplay was very solid and the boss fights were great. Stages felt overly short for the most part, but they also don't seem to be the focus and each stage still managed to feel unique.

Normally using existing sprites from multiple games just ends in a mess, but this game takes that concept and runs with it; there is a surprising amount of care put into synching up existing sprite animations with new attacks and Generic Man manages to turn a generally lazy practice into a surprisingly creative one.

Overall, I just had a lot of fun with this game and it's a shame that it's not more well-known.

Moe is to difficult. Wonderful game though.
