Ludopolis

Made in 48 hours for Global Game Jam 2017 (January 20 - 22)

Plot

Ludopolis is being invaded by alienbots on spaceboxes.
Jack Coil, a jack-in-the-box puppet, must join forces with Mothersaucer, a controller flying saucer, and defeat invaders in a toy-themed world.

Controls:

A and D to move horizontally
Up and Down to jump and attack

Considerations

This was my first solo entry in a Global Game Jam. So you'll notice the game is pretty rushed due to poorly managed time (lol)

The game was also initially designed to use "To me, to you" diversifier, one controlling the ship for the horizontal axis and another person for jumping and attacking. But it eventually had to be cut out, becoming a simple platformer.
