just played through the current version and i have to say that it's fantastic!) it's a fast-paced fantasy beat-em up with a great, memorable visual style that has that slightly cartoony look while also keeping the serious, northern fantasy look of the game, a fast-paced combat that has some depth to it with the shield bashes, rolling and blocking, a simple, but effective upgrade system that lets every player customize their gameplay style (if just a little bit) and an amazing demo boss in face of the gatekeeper that makes the player use all of the knowledge gained beforehand to defeat him!)
with all that said, there are some slight problems with the current version that need to be adressed - firstly, while the controls are pretty intuitive and easy to learn, a tutorial at the beginning definitely wouldn't hurt!) next, the "peasant" enemies don't look all that peasant-like to me - a name like "mercenary", "highlander" or just your simple "guard" or "warrior" would fit them better, i think, but that's just a nitpick, jajaja!) and, finally, there's a small text error when Nolan notices the switch for the bridge - he says "somekind" when it should be "some kind") while all of these problems are pretty small, adressing or fixing them in some way would make the whole demo a bit better as a result!)
all in all, the demo for Nolan was awesome - i reminded me of some good old beat em ups like Shank while also having some unique charm to it, with the memorable graphics and awesome fighting system) Christian Chrustev, i wish you and everyone else who is helping you develop Nolan best of luck, nerves of steel and lots of inspiration while you make this awesome game and in any future endeavors you guys might embark on!) take care!
