What do you think?

Cool game.

Like @StellarBear I always died after the second base. The underwater setting also gives an interesting atmosphere. Would've have been extra cool to put some fish in there!

I really liked that there were two states of gameplay (shooting/piloting). It kept things fresh!

Really liked this, loved the mix of FPS and Star Fox style gameplay, it worked really well and was suuuuper challenging! The gun colour mechanic is awesome as well and I feel like it could almost be made into a game in itself!

Pretty sweet! The mix between the shuttle and the more FPS-like gameplay works really well! Congratulations are in order... :-)

Oh dear, I keep dying after the second base. Having shooting, dodging lasers, and a timer is murder on my lacklustre reflexes.

Finally made it after about a dozen tries :) The type of gameplay is a bit difficult for me, but I like the atmosphere!

Congrats on your work !

SeaFishelle's entry in AdventureJam 2020!

In Operand Aquata, you take on the role of an adventurous medical scientist, making your way to your old abandoned laboratory to retrieve the cure you need to heal your most important patient. Take your gun, hop in your submersible, and face the erroneously reactivated security systems as you brave your way to save your most treasured life!

You'll be going through massive tunnels full of lasers in your sub. And along the way, you'll also have to manually unlock some doors guarded by sentry turrets. Good luck, Doctor!

This project is my most ambitious yet, and is built entirely out of my own assets. It combines Half Life 2's "Water Hazard" level, a bit of Star Fox gameplay, and some Subnautica-inspired set dressings. As well as my own splash of artistic interpretation, of course!

Put my spirits back in order, and made the player's sub! Modeling is more or less complete, minus the facilities and endgame stuff.

Ultimately, I came out positively, and I'll be posting a video later tonight, but... today was a yucky-day. I'll definitely have to devote the last stretch of the dev cycle to polish. Lots of polish. So much polish the Nazis will invade it.

Today was "what the hell do I think I'm doing" day. You know, that part of the dev cycle where you go "am I really capable of finishing this" and "that's a good lookin game, WHY DOESN'T MINE LOOK LIKE THAT?!". Lots of issues, lots of "why bother". cont'd

Good news, and bad news.

Bad: Robots weren't working, scrapped them to save time and sanity.

Good: Replaced them with ceiling turrets that were WAY easier to design, build and play with. Even used the old robot head!

Level building can finally begin!

These are the prefabs for the game's facilities, and a mockup of one. I can slap 'em together like LEGO and make as many as big as I want!

There are a lot of things to still do, I really need to stay focused and dole out my time properly...

Now in three designer colors~! Please ignore Blue, he decided to wear his curvy armor to picture day and has been punished accordingly. Mostly with blue-colored blaster bolts to his face.

Sentry bot! Yesterday's work. I'll have some images to flaunt later on tonight~!
