What do you think?

red square spinoff

What is this game about? (TL;DR)

Let's be real: The Pricklz was a complete mess. It was supposed to be a prequel, but it tried to mix humor, horror, and random mechanics all at once. The story completely failed to connect, the systems felt totally unfocused, and it just didn't have a clear identity.

Because of that, a simple patch or remake won't save it. I'm throwing the old framework out the window for a total structural reboot.

  • The Goal: The game shall keep the core characters and its spot in the timeline (pre-CDH1), but shifting the entire game into a thriller.

  • The Vision: No more scattered mechanics or tonal confusion. This version is built from the ground up to emphasize pure tension, atmospheric consistency, and narrative mystery.

  • The Purpose: To turn a directionless entry into a cohesive, meaningful experience that acts as the proper bridge between CDH2 Reshined and CDH3 reboot.

<< INFO >>

Long before Cube’s Pizza Place became a name tied to an incident, a smaller experimental location existed alongside it, built on the idea of simplifying what had already worked.

Pricklz Burgers & Fries was introduced as a brighter interpretation of the same concept. A version designed to feel more open, more welcoming; as if distance from the original place had been part of the intention from the beginning. The reason for that shift was never clearly explained.

You are Dave, working the overnight shift for final preparations. The building is expected to be ready for each upcoming morning, though it never feels like it is simply waiting for that moment.

Even though the doors are closed, the characters remain active in the building and continue moving through it in their own way. They are not confined to specific areas, and nothing about their movement suggests coordination or instruction.

At first, this is still treated as part of final preparation in a place still adjusting to use, though that interpretation becomes harder to maintain over time. The understanding of what this place is meant to be has not changed on record.

But it no longer holds in practice.

It continues as something already in motion.

HELP WANTED!

[read article]

why is my art style almost always inconsistent when it comes to fizz smh

Finished up one character's assets. Well, okay, there is an office asset left, but they're basically done.

Also did some coding shenanigans. Cameras are set up. Characters not implemented yet though.

Listed out the keys in the settings menu.

I'll implement them later.

Originally wanted to have custom keybind settings in Reshined, but couldn't figure it out. Now I'm trying it again. Hope it goes well.

Also, here's a rough sketch on what Scraptail's full body may look like.

Extendable limbs. Neat.
