Open playtest

This is an open playtest of the game to test server stability and check for back-end issues. The scoreboard is updated hourly, unless under maintenance. I would appreciate any feedback on gameplay.

Overview

Realmshade is a multiplayer inventory management autobattler, playable in browser.

Explore the dark realm, slay monsters, collect items, craft weapons and fight other players to put your name on the online leaderboard!

Features

In Realmshade you can:

  • Create your own combat class without any restrictions;

  • Defeat an opponent by wearing so much armor that they fatigue to death trying to break it;

  • Defeat an opponent before the fight even begins;

  • Transform into any monster by taking slain monster's items;

  • Reroll any reward 5 times;

  • Wear 60 rings at once. Seriously;

  • Become the final boss of the game;

Mild Fantasy Violence

Some results I also wanted to share:

* Amethyst item has 5% winrate

* Most games end in 1-2 level range. People keep restarting to roll a "perfect run"

* The leaderboard is extremely rigid. Probably result of draws being resolved in favor of the opponent

I'm also adding an option to "Search for ingredients" to all crafting and gathering events. When you don't have ingredients or tools, you will at least be able to loot something, instead of these events being an event skip.

I'm working on some improvements to crafting.

* Added scrolling for long lists of items;

* When there are no items slotted, all available crafting results will be displayed.

* Only ingredients with available results will be marked, no more guess work;

After some trial and error I was able to host a dedicated server.

Starting from next patch, matches will be verified automatically on a schedule. It will also feature instant updates to statistics and scoreboard based on local play data.

Resource gathering events will reward new material items with recipes at crafting stations.

I will do an experiment with adding an active skill check to these events.
