What do you think?

I cant remember the last time I played a game as evil as this one. I love it.

Demo - Scarab Way

Version: 0.0.118 days ago

A troll platformer inspired by the notorious game Level Devil.

Play as a doomed beetle, forced to crawl through infernal levels—each one ending only to lead into something even more torturous.

In this world, plants devour insects and even the ground itself might betray you.

Can you survive the Scarab’s Way?

Only the most patient (or stubborn) will reach the door… with the key in hand.

There will be more news about the next update soon.

Alpha 0.0.1 Start Step – September 10, 2025

It will include:

  • An Alpha demo featuring the first developed levels.

    • 5 or more playable stages.

    • No music or sound effects.

    • No particles or other visual effects.

    • Playable in HTML5, optimized for PC.

The goal of this update is to let players experience the core mechanics of the game, showcasing its central idea and potential.

Note: Don’t expect a fully polished experience. There’s still a lot to improve.#altgame #platformer

Sorry for not sharing updates. I've been busy these past few days, but I'm still working meticulously on the project.

I'm trying to make the movement as polished as possible.

I've been working on improving Scarab's movement. I still need to add the ability to wall jump, i'm not sure if that'll be the only one.

The first preview of Scarab Way has just been released!!

Although there are a few things I need to mention.

I had a small problem. A friend convinced me to create a Linux partition on my PC. After quite an odyssey, I managed to do it — but then a strange issue occurred with my keyboard: it started repeating the DELETE key infinitely.

I've been thinking about expanding the game's mechanics a bit. Maybe refining the movement a lot and adding wall jumps and a dash. Also, slightly reducing the speed of the traps to give players more time to react.
