The story begins with Sonic being possessed by a demon who calls himself Exterior for his own goals. He wants to conquer the entire world and enslave every creature living in it, but Sonic's friends can stop him and free Sonic from him. Many years later, Exterior returns to continue his goals, but Sonic and his friends try to stop him, and there are many secrets they don't know about him and his goals yet.
