Super Freaks 1 Ultimate Edition is now fully complete and ready to blow your mind with four player co-op and some of the most methodically designed platformer levels you'll ever experience.
Super Freaks 1 Ultimate Edition is a 2D platformer featuring single player and up to four player drop-in/drop-out cooperative gameplay.
Go to the right, jump on enemy heads, reach the exit. When you select a level, you can choose between any of the Super Freaks before playing, as well as a whole host of other unlockable characters. There are over 20 characters total!
Every level can be played in one of three difficulty modes (Easy, Normal, Hard) that changes the level layouts.Â
You can also set three modifiers: a Mirror Mode, Fast Forward (speeds everything in the level up by 1.5x with a few exceptions to make it actually possible), and a Game Over screen so you too can suffer permadeath!
New to Turbo (version 3.1) is Turbo mode, which increases your movement speed, but swaps out any health mechanics for a clock that ticks down from 30 seconds. Grab collectibles and beat Kranibots to keep the clock up, because the second it hits zero, you're dead. Oh, and you lose an increasing time penalty every time you get hit. Good luck!
As of version 3.0 there are now three story modes:
SUPER FREAKS STORY
The Super Freaks must take back the galaxy's supply of Unlimit Energy from their enemy Kranion. This is the normal story mode. The freaks share hearts as hitpoints; you can get more via collecting Yorbs and Hearts, and you can set how many hearts you have before entering the level.
BAD GUYS STORY
Kranion is forced to team up with his eccentric brother Sticky in order to get his castle back from an impostor! In this mode, your hearts are replaced with ego meters. They'll slowly drain, but fill them up all the way and you can become invincible!
UNCLE SWORDSMAN STORY
After all the hoopla earlier, the Super Freaks and their skeletal enemies take a vacation. But while Uncle Swordsman and his weird friend the One Eyed Bandit are having a BBQ, Kranion and Sticky's dad Marrow Prime comes out of retirement--and he's stronger than both of them! In this story, collecting yorbs fills up an aura that allows you to run super fast and jump super high. Zoom around levels like crazy in the fastest paced mode yet!

There are several challenge modes which you will unlock as you progress through the game. You'll unlock a free play mode, a randomized endless mode, a boss rush mode, and a few speedrun modes.
