This is probably one of my favorite games ever. Genre smashing is a good thing, and this game certainly proves it! I'm not good at this game, but it's certainly tons of fun.
Interesting idea. I've seen the time-lapse thing before and obviously the other part is pretty stock. Not a bad idea pulling the two together, and not a bad implementation. Needs something to make it special though.
Ten Second War is a top down shooter in which you control many units individually via a rewinding time feature such that you guide a small army in it’s mission of destroying everything in 10 seconds. You control them one at a time, and yet they act all at once.
Thus, it’s a top down shooter with a heavy emphasis on strategy, while still retaining the skill based action.
The game features 6 different unit types, each with their own skill, varying from simple skills like rapid fire, to the more unique abilities like a shield, mouse seeking rockets, and the melee combat stealth mode.
There are also friendly units that fight for the player, but cannot be controlled. These require that you cooperate with them in order to make them the most effective.
There are currently around 40 different levels, and a level editor so that you can create your own maps.
