Backgrounds look cool good art. You could make the cat move a bit. I see it's randomized everytime.
Sometime's the -hp stuff is keeping displayed repeatly when 1 of the players dies.
I also think that sometimes 1 player does more damage then die other one and that is not fair but i'm not sure about that.
I think you are inspired by the game Nidhogg :P.
