NOTE: THE PREVIOUS ITERATION OF THIS GAME (AS SEEN IN THE BANNER AND OFFICIAL SCREENSHOTS) IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

The previous iteration has been removed in order to avoid confusion for anyone looking for the stuff I have been posting more recently.

Welcome to Your New Home

It started as just an ordinary day, but by nightfall, you found yourself taken captive, on your way to a new land, a new home, with new people. You don't know the rules, and you don't speak the language. If you try to run, they'll hunt you down. All you can do at this point...is try.

But That Would Be Too Easy, Wouldn't It?

Life isn't easy in this new village, but an attack by an unusual foe suddenly pushes ordinary cares by the wayside. Who were they? Why did they attack? What are these artifacts that they have left behind?

According to the panel, the save function is working. I would very much like to test this theory, except now I'm having problems with the loading. I'll have to go back to another game where that works and see what I did

I don't care what year it is or what console generation we're on. This game has save blocks like it's 1989

Kind of a blah day on progress. Lot of obstacles I didn't feel like tackling. Got some more maps connected and roughed in. Started the barest of work on followers. For some reason the follow script overrides follower collisions? It's never referenced...

Today's progress brought to you by an Assassin's Creed soundtrack montage.
-Terrain for new areas
-Getting to and from new areas
-Day/Night cycles started
-Code cleanup
-New building style
-Element knitting
-Thinking about how to do water

Did anyone else have to make dioramas in school? I think I will have to lighten the ceiling and walls to better contrast the "strings" holding the sun and clouds. I think this is an excellent compliment to the 2D shadow theater style cutscenes.

Too busy with irl problems today to get much done, certainly no art or code. So tonight was some low-key planning, trimming fat and flesh down to bare bones so I can start busting out some levels and get the story up and running and playable

My world has discovered commerce! Shops are up and running.

Finished the treasure chests and resting ability. Did some work on the houses and a few props to make them more interesting.

Time to start bringing these disconnected elements together

Lots of progress on the battle system Definitely has a certain familiar feel to it Going to be spending some time figuring out Badg--er, Charms. Yeah, Chaaaaarms, that's it

Quests now have basic functionality. Started working on buildings and close-quarters cameras. Also started the player dictionary.

And finally we have the beginning of battling. It would have been more productive, but I got distracted by some 5FDP
