A quick report on the development

First of all I'm really glad this game can still find new players. It's incredibly motivating for me and it often makes me change my mind about contents I wanted to cut out from the game.

Not long ago I basically decided to just leave out the epilogue from the game (because at this point the development started to become a bit miserable for me) - but then I found a surprisingly detailed and well crafted article about the demo written by a person named Emily Rose. I liked this article so much, I decided to keep working on the epilogue.

So how is the development going? Slowly - but firmly at least. When I started to work on the structural re-works, I knew it was going to be painful for me, but... oh boy! It's even worse. But!

Since then lots of features became much more polished and/or improved. Some things I already mentioned in my previous devlog (like the completely re-worked inventory), but here is a list about the recently made changes:

  1. A much more interactive interface for the office computers.

  2. Completely new main menu.

  3. A new cutscene.

  4. New area and characters in the main level.

  5. New endings.

  6. Added occlusion culling which makes the FPS more stable.

It's almost surreal to say, but... the game is completed! There is a huge chance it'll get released till this weekend.

Well... the day has finally come, guys. Through The Fragmentation is out! Both 32bit and 64bit versions are available for Windows.

͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Guess what's going to happen today!

When you're working with graphics relying almost entirely on simple flat colors and color gradients, it's quite important to know if players with any type of color blindness will still be able to play your game.

Through The Fragmentation was originally a cross-platform point and click adventure game with multiple dialog options and tons of lore to explore.

The main reason I switched back to first person was I felt the third person perspective very limited.

I'll have some pretty interesting news related to Through he Fragmentation soon, but till then... @TophatParty created a wikipage for The Hidden Fragmentation. Feel free to check it out - or even participating in it: the-hidden-fragmentation.fandom.com

Released a slight remaster of The Hidden Fragmentation. Version 1.1.0 fixes the technical issues the original game suffered from. Also, there is 64bit support and a new volume control as well.
