A small update


Just to say I'm still alive because it's been so long.

IRL stuff happened that I posted about on SSBF's YT channel.

Also, I've been hacking away at the Fighter Select screen. I wanted to rework how the hand-shaped cursor worked? I say it's about........ 70% done now (the cursor)

I can hover around, change game modes (between normal Smash and Team Battle) make the coin thingy appear and disappear when hovering over a fighter slot (while it's being used by the Hand), I can cycle through costume slots for each fighter, change player type to CPU, clear the player card when no icon is selected, and even close the card back up to "no player".

I just need to do various other things, like confirming a selection of a fighter and costume, changing the player's name / implementing custom Names, reimplement the Back code, make the hand cursor able to click through costumes (for its own player and CPU cards), set a CPU level, do the Team Battle stuff, and finally, make the Rules menu, clickable at the top. I have an idea where I can load it from both the Smash menu and from within the Fighter Select. Shouldn't be too difficult!

I will also do like Ultimate, where the game will clear all fighter select stuff when you exit the menu screen and return.

Once all that is done, I can finally attempt loading the match with selected elements. :) Because I used a similar approach to fighter development than I did making the fighter slot icons. Coding-wise, they're all the same! Identical! However, when you load the screen, it will assign different fighter slot data to each icon, making them LOOK different and load different prefabs.
