Hello, all! It's Goat again, back with what is actually the final devlog for chapter 2 of the game.
Why is it the final devlog? Quite simply, it's because we have very little left to do now! I can count the enemy sprites that still explicitly need to be drawn on one hand now, and the rest of the art isn't too far behind.
Now, we've been making this amount of progress not entirely of our own will. Obviously we want to work on the game, but Boot has been faced with some IRL time constraints that I'd rather not elaborate on too much without him, so we're pushing hard for getting the game out by the end of July. This wasn't something I was sure I could do on my own, so I'd like to thank @ninesoulssea for his help in drawing concept art for some of the enemies!

Among the enemies he drew are a spider...

...a slime...

...and - gasp - a naked lady!
We've also gotten in another person to help us with the music, which given both me and Lord Worm's pace is pretty handy.
She's also been giving me some useful advice for mixing, which you can hear in this song right here.
Chapter 2 has been a lot of work to get done, both for me and for Boot, and there's been many a time where I've felt burnt out, or been terrified that we'd run out of time. And yet, in this crunch at the end I somehow feel... hopeful?
I can't say I really understand how it works, but right now is exactly the kind of time when I need hope. And I hope you guys are hoping for our success too.
That's Goat, signing off for now. Mark the start of August on your calendars, folks!
